Privacy policy

This policy explains how JunkMyCar ("JunkMyCar", "we") handles personal data when you use junkmycar.ae, contact us on WhatsApp or by phone, or sell us a car. We process personal data in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and other applicable laws.

What we collect

• Details you give us: name, WhatsApp or phone number, email (optional), emirate and area, car details, condition, photos or photo links, and whether you're leaving the UAE.
• Sale documents: when you sell a car, the identity and registration documents needed to complete the transfer or cancellation.
• Technical and campaign data: the page you submitted from, device type, referring website, and advertising parameters such as UTM tags and Google click IDs, stored in a first-party cookie for up to 90 days.
• Analytics: if you accept cookies, anonymous usage data through Google Analytics and advertising measurement through Google Ads, managed by Google Tag Manager.

How we use it

• To prepare and send your offer, usually on WhatsApp.
• To arrange collection, complete paperwork and pay you.
• To prevent spam and fraud on our forms.
• To understand which pages and campaigns help people, and improve them.

We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run the service, and authorities where the law requires:

• Website hosting (Vercel) and spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
• Lead storage in Google Workspace (Google Sheets)
• Google Analytics and Google Ads, if you accept analytics cookies
• WhatsApp (Meta), when you choose to message us there
• Traffic authorities, banks and insurers, where needed to complete a sale you agree to

Cookies

We use a first-party cookie to remember which campaign brought you to the site, and a small browser storage entry to keep a half-filled form so you don't lose it. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice by clearing site data in your browser.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to a sale are deleted after a limited period. Records of completed sales are kept for as long as the law requires.
