- Police report. In the UAE, damage from a traffic accident generally needs a police report, issued by Dubai Police, Abu Dhabi Police or the relevant emirate's police. Keep a copy.
- Insurance correspondence. If an insurer is involved, keep their claim number and any total loss or settlement letter.
- Emirates ID and Mulkiya for the registered owner.
- Loan details if the car is financed. With a total loss, the insurer often pays the bank directly, which affects who can sell what.
